Job summary

Compass Group USA through Levy is seeking a Catering Supervisor to support daily operations for NBA games, concerts and events. You will coordinate catering team schedules, ensure on-time delivery, setup and service, and maintain food safety standards.

This role is part-time, on-site, in Charlotte, NC, with team-focused responsibilities and opportunities to learn, grow, and earn benefits such as Instapay, health programs, and employee assistance.

Responsibilities

• Determines workload requirements from catering orders.
• Meets with functions group leaders to discuss setup arrangements; addresses last-minute changes and resolves problems.
• Interacts with guests and resolves client feedback in a service-oriented manner.
• Demonstrates complete understanding of menu items.
• Instructs team members on work expectations for catered functions.
• Helps team members set up rooms to desired specifications.
• Assembles and delivers F&B items to scheduled locations.
• Assists with serving food and beverages to guests as needed
• Breaks down food, beverages, serving equipment and utensils to catering department.
• Confirms proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of serving temperatures; follows Levy’s Food and Safety standards.
• Ensures proper food preparation by following approved recipes and production standards.
• Displays a positive attitude towards team members.
• Ensures team members adhere to Levy Company guidelines as stated in the team member training manual and employee handbook.
• Demonstrate physical stamina/agility required to be mobile for long periods throughout the day.
• Lift/move materials and equipment up to 50lbs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

As the Catering Supervisor you will assist in the daily operations of the Catering department for NBA games, Concerts and Internal/External events. Coordinates catering team member schedules to ensure all functions are delivered, served and cleared in a timely fashion. Prepares and serves food at scheduled functions under the supervision of the Catering Manager.
