Job summary

UNM Hospital is seeking a catering support professional to perform a range of duties for hospital events. Responsibilities include delivery, setup, break down, and clean up of catering orders; maintaining inventory and coordinating with cooks to fulfill orders; ensuring quality service for internal and external customers while adhering to hospital policies.

Qualifications

  • Education: Essential: High School or GED Equivalent
  • Experience: Essential: 1 year directly related experience
  • Credentials: Valid New Mexico Driver's License; UNM Vehicle Operator's Permit within 60 days
  • Physical Conditions: Medium Work: Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly

Responsibilities

  • COORDINATE - coordinate catering events to include delivery, set-up, break down and clean up; ensure attractive garnishing and food display; work in collaboration with cooks to coordinate catering food order
  • SCHEDULE - review catering event schedules and prepare order requests for needed product and equipment; inspect catering event sites; ensure compliance with TJC and other regulatory agency requirements
  • INVENTORY - maintain inventory of catering supplies to include dishes, serviceware and other related catering equipment and supplies
  • QUALITY - adjust client billing in accordance with actual services provided; ensure customer satisfaction by providing quality service
  • LIAISON - may serve as liaison for assigned area; respond and resolve inquiries and complaints
  • RELATED WORK - perform related duties and responsibilities as required

Position Summary

Perform a variety of duties required for catering events; coordinate, set-up break down and clean up activities to include order supplies/equipment, deliver food, and maintain inventory; provide quality service to both internal and external customers. Ensures adherence to Hospital and Departmental Policies and Procedures. No patient care assignment.
