Job summary

American Dining Creations is seeking a Catering Sous Chef in Kansas City, MO to support the Executive Catering Chef and ensure high-quality daily culinary service across the Catering Department. This full-time role works with the culinary staff to follow recipes and safety standards.

Responsibilities include hands-on kitchen work, BOH supervision, menu planning for campus events, inventory management, and maintaining production records while upholding appearance standards.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in culinary arts or hospitality preferred.
• At least 1 year of catering operations experience preferred.
• Experience in full-service industrial kitchen helpful.
• Knowledge of local/state food safety regulations; ServSafe preferred.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical duties.

Responsibilities

• Support Executive Catering Chef and culinary team across catering points of service.
• Provide guidance and supervise BOH staff.
• Assist with menu planning and events from simple to high-profile campus occasions.
• Drive quality, efficiency, safety, sanitation and inventory control.
• Assist with inventory, ordering and related paperwork.
• Maintain clean, organized kitchen and production records.
• Assist with large campus events and conferences.
• Adhere to appearance and grooming standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
