Job summary

HUNGRY is seeking drivers to support our NYC catering events, transporting food and equipment from hub to client sites and setting up for service. You will host events for corporate clients across NYC, including Manhattan, and work with the Hungry team to ensure flawless execution.

Applicants should have a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and be 18+ with US work authorization. A prior background in food service or catering is a plus, and you must have reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Requires use of personal vehicle for most events (seeking drivers with vehicle, license, and auto insurance).

Responsibilities

• Pick up equipment at hub in Long Island City, pick up food from vendor, transport to client site and complete designated setup.
• Host catering events for business clients throughout NYC, including Manhattan.
• Coordinate with other Hungry team members.
• Communicate clearly to ensure all event elements are executed successfully.
• Answer food-related questions and guide guests during events.

The Gig:

• Days of Operations: Monday-Friday, Breakfast and Lunch Events (8am-2pm)
• Requires use of personal vehicle for most events (seeking drivers with vehicle, license, and auto insurance)

• Strategically coordinate with other members of the HUNGRY team
• Operate efficiently with a customer-oriented mindset.
• Professionally answer food-related questions and guide guests.
• Effective communication to ensure that all elements of the event are executed.
• High level attention to detail and outgoing personality
• Maintain professional demeanor and appearance during events
• Ability to choose when and how much you work.

• Reliable transportation (use personal vehicle)

Compensation: Gig-Dependent (on average, equivalent to approximately $22-24/hr + 100% of Client Tips
