Where You'll Make an Impact
- Responds to incoming group/catering opportunities for the property within 24 hours
- Identifies, qualifies and solicits new group/catering business to achieve personal and hotel’s revenue goals.
- Designs, develops and sells creative catering menus and wedding packages
- Maximizes revenue by upselling packages, menu, and creative food and beverage.
- Understands the overall market - competitors' strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand etc. and knows how to sell against them.
- Closes the best opportunities for property based on market conditions and individual property needs.
- Uses negotiating skills and creative selling abilities to close on business and negotiate contracts.
- Builds and strengthens relationships with existing and new customers to enable future bookings. Activities include sales calls, entertainment, FAM trips, trade shows, etc.
- Executes exemplary customer service to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty by assisting the customer and ensuring their satisfaction before and during their program/event.
- Serves the customer by understanding their needs and recommending the appropriate features and services that best meet their needs and exceed their expectations
- Responsible for working with all clients, including social and wedding business, to provide professional client services support in the planning, organization, and management of events within the facility, monitoring the logistics of these events and all event related tasks after events are concluded.
- Your duties will include but not be limited to scheduling of events, equipment rentals, arranging AV requirements, tastings, menu development, creating BEOs invoicing, theme concept/decorating and servicing the client as necessary.
- Responsible for accurate posting of charges, presentation of bill, and reporting actual revenue
- Responsible for accurate reporting of booked business and forecasted revenue
- Handles group/social event bookings – to include but not limited to point of inquiry, sending proposals, quoting rates, contract development, detailing of needs, creating BEOs, handling rooming lists, management of group on day of event, and follow up.
- Conduct walk in site tours & pre-con meetings
- Develops group resumes with detailed information which effectively communicates all group requirements and needs to hotel staff

- Ability to navigate complicated computer systems & strong knowledge of Microsoft office. Delphi experience preferred.

A Few Must Haves
- High School graduate or equivalent. Minimum 2 years event management, hotel sales or catering sales experience preferred.
