Thompson Dallas is seeking an exceptional Catering Sales Manager to join its team and support one of downtown Dallas’ most distinctive lifestyle event destinations.

Located in the historic Main Street District, Thompson Dallas blends mid-century design, contemporary art, Texas craftsmanship, elevated dining, and 219 guest rooms and suites. The hotel offers more than 14,000 square feet of ballroom space and rooftop venues for weddings, conferences, and high-profile events.

Qualifications

• Proven experience selling, planning, and servicing large-group catering events.
• Minimum of two years of hotel catering, event management, sales, or hospitality experience; lifestyle hotel experience preferred.
• Knowledge of catering operations, banquet planning, food and beverage, menu development, and pricing.
• Proven ability to sell, negotiate, influence, build relationships, and drive revenue.
• Organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Achieve catering revenue goals through proactive selling and upselling.
• Book large-group catering including corporate meetings, conferences, weddings, and events.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, planners, and partners.
• Serve as primary client contact from contract turnover to post-event follow-up.
• Coordinate menus, event details, billing, logistics, and on-site execution.
