Job summary

Thompson Dallas is seeking an exceptional Catering Sales Manager to join its team and support one of downtown Dallas’ most distinctive lifestyle event destinations. The role is exempt and salaried, reporting to the Director of Sales & Marketing, with a dotted-line to Senior Event Sales Manager.

You will drive large-group catering revenue through proactive selling, strategic upselling, and meticulous event planning, coordinating with F&B, Culinary, Operations, and Events teams to deliver

Qualifications

• Proven experience selling, planning, and servicing large-group catering events.
• Two years hotel catering, event management, sales, or hospitality experience; lifestyle hotel experience preferred.
• Knowledge of catering operations, banquet planning, food & beverage, menu development, and pricing.

Responsibilities

• Achieve assigned catering and banquet revenue goals through proactive selling, upselling, and excellent event execution.
• Prospect, qualify, and book large-group catering business including corporate meetings, conferences, weddings, and social events.
• Coordinate menus, timelines, room setups, AV, décor, billing, and client communications; ensure flawless execution.
