About the Role
As our Catering Sales Manager, you’ll be the face of our events business—from the initial inquiry through flawless execution. You'll generate revenue by booking and detailing social events, weddings, and corporate gatherings while working closely with our culinary, banquet, and operations teams to bring each event to life.
- Proactively source new business through outreach, networking, and site tours
- Respond to inquiries and convert leads into booked events
- Build strong relationships with clients, planners, vendors, and community partners
- Create custom proposals and lead contract negotiations
- Serve as the primary contact for wedding clients from inquiry to post-event
- Coordinate timelines, menus, setups, and vendor logistics
- Draft detailed Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) that align with each couple’s vision
- Stay current on wedding trends and maintain a preferred vendor list
Event Planning & Execution
- Collaborate with banquet, culinary, and operations teams to execute events seamlessly
- Attend key events to ensure quality and client satisfaction
- Manage logistics like room layouts, AV needs, and food & beverage planning
- Respond to changes and challenges with professionalism and flexibility
Administrative & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records in the sales system (Delphi, Opera, or similar)
- Meet or exceed revenue goals and performance metrics
- Distribute BEOs and group resumes to internal teams weekly
- Prepare regular sales reports and conduct post-event follow-ups
What You Bring
- 2–3 years of catering sales or event planning experience, ideally in hospitality
- Strong knowledge of weddings and social event coordination
- Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple events with precision and poise
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and sales systems (e.g., Delphi, Opera)
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with luxury or full-service hotel brands
- Local knowledge of wedding markets and vendor networks
- Certified Wedding Planner or hospitality-related certification
