Job summary

Driftwood Hospitality Management is seeking a Catering Sales Manager to drive group and local catering business, from prospecting to post-event follow-up. You will plan detailed events, coordinate execution, and nurture guest satisfaction while maximizing revenue.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in catering sales or event planning, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple events. Flexible availability for evenings and weekends is expected as part of events calendar.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in catering sales or event planning, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple events and clients simultaneously.
• Detail-oriented and customer-service focused.
• Knowledge of food and beverage standards and basic banquet operations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and sales CRM software (Delphi/FDC preferred).
• Flexible schedule to accommodate events, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Solicit new catering business through prospecting, networking, and client referrals.
• Respond promptly to inquiries and provide detailed proposals and contracts in accordance with hotel standards.
• Plan and coordinate events from initial booking to final billing, including BEOs, room layouts, and timelines.
• Maintain relationships with existing clients to generate repeat business and referrals.
• Collaborate closely with F&B, Banquets, and Operations teams to ensure seamless execution of events.
• Meet or exceed catering sales goals set by the Director of Sales/Catering.
• Conduct site visits and tours with prospective clients.
• Stay informed on industry trends and competitor offerings.
• Maintain accurate records and reporting in the sales system (e.g., Delphi, CI/TY, etc.).
• Represent the hotel at bridal shows, trade events, and community functions as needed.
