Job Summary

As the Catering Sales Manager, you will coordinate and oversee catering events, develop menus, manage costs, and handle marketing. You will implement labor and food cost controls, and oversee event setup, operation, and cleanup.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Hire, train, and develop managers; improve service techniques, menu presentation, policies, and procedures.
2. Prepare operating statements, reports, budgets, and review receivables.
3. Plan and book catering activities and events.
4. Create proposals, contracts, and banquet event orders.
5. Monitor budgets, financial targets, and forecasts.
6. Maintain client database and vendor relationships.
7. Ensure safety and sanitation procedures comply with HACCP standards.
8. Perform related duties and special projects as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Proven sales success.
• Knowledge of current food trends and fine dining service.
• At least two years in hospitality, including one in catering sales.
• Supervisory, scheduling, training, and coaching skills.
• Ability to assess client needs and ensure satisfaction.
• Experience in menu proposal writing with chefs.
• Supervision of food prep, service, and cleanup.
• Knowledge of A/V equipment setup and breakdown.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Proactive, calm under pressure, adaptable.
• High standards of integrity and ethics.
• Excellent client relations and customer service skills.
