This role is dedicated to delivering exceptional Guest Services as part of our Sales & Catering TEAM, ensuring the smooth operation of the hotel's sales function. As a Catering Manager, your primary responsibility is to manage accounts, ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction while actively soliciting both past and new business. The goal is to achieve or exceed all revenue targets, including room nights, average rates, and room rentals. Solicit and book Banquet and Catering functions resulting in customer satisfaction and profitability.
Responsibilities and Duties:
* Solicit new accounts and review previous Banquet files to generate business.
* Negotiate, prepare and write contracts.
* Interact with clients to determine needs and direct staff accordingly. Respond to telephone and walk-in inquiries of potential guests.
* Attend menu, staff, and other Hotel meetings.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have high energy, a driver personality, creativity, competitiveness and flexibility.
Prior Catering Sales experience with track record of accomplishments is required.
Experienced in hotels and upscale catering events.
Must possess exceptional customer service and a high sense of urgency.
Prefer 2-3 years solid Catering / Sales experience preferred.
