Job summary

Sun Holdings is seeking a Catering Sales Coordinator to be the primary contact for catering guests, guiding inquiries through event completion. You will coordinate details, manage changes, and resolve issues while supporting the sales and operations teams to deliver successful events.

The role requires 1+ year in catering or hospitality sales, strong communication, and the ability to handle multiple bookings with high organization. Evening/weekend availability may be needed.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of sales experience in catering, hospitality, event sales, or similar role.
• Proven ability to manage client relationships and deliver excellent customer service.
• Experience coordinating events, handling client inquiries, and managing multiple bookings simultaneously.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage changes, special requests, and resolve issues effectively.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary point of contact for catering guests from inquiry to event completion.
• Coordinate event details and changes, ensuring seamless execution.
• Manage all incoming catering orders via email and phone and respond same-day.
• Enter and confirm orders in OLO accurately and maximize each order.
• Collaborate with culinary, operations, and service teams to deliver successful events.

Job Description

The Catering Sales Coordinator serves as the primary point of contact for catering guests, ensuring a seamless and exceptional experience from initial inquiry through event completion. This role is responsible for coordinating event details, managing changes and special requests, and resolving issues promptly while supporting sales and operational teams to deliver successful events.

Responsibilities

• Order Intake & Management
• Manage all incoming catering orders via:
• Email
• Phone
• Respond to all inquiries same day (goal: within 2 hours)
• Accurately enter and confirm orders in OLO
• Ensure each order is maximized, not just processed

Requirements

• Minimum of one (1) year of successful sales experience in catering, hospitality, event sales, or a similar role
• Proven ability to manage client relationships and deliver excellent customer service
• Experience coordinating events, handling client inquiries, and managing multiple bookings simultaneously
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Demonstrated ability to manage changes, special requests, and resolve issues effectively
• High level of organization and attention to detail
• Ability to work collaboratively with culinary, operations, and service teams
• Proficiency with basic computer applications (email, spreadsheets, scheduling tools, CRM or sales systems preferred)
