Job summary

Pomegranate Market in Sioux Falls seeks a Business Development Manager to grow our catering business and lead our presence in the community. You will build relationships with hospitals, banks, schools, and local businesses to create recurring catering accounts and represent our brand at events.

The role collaborates with the Bistro Manager and Marketing to promote catering, manage proposals, and ensure seamless order handoffs, while attending community events and developing partnerships.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of sales success in business development or related role.
• Comfort and energy for outbound prospecting and relationship building.
• Strong communication, organization, and follow-through skills.
• Experience planning or leading events is a plus.
• Passion for natural and organic food, wellness, and the Sioux Falls community.
• Reliable transportation and flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends for events.

Responsibilities

• Grow catering revenue by selling to new and existing clients and meeting revenue goals.
• Build and manage a pipeline of recurring catering clients across Sioux Falls.
• Proactively prospect new accounts through outreach, networking, drop-ins, and tastings.
• Prepare catering quotes, proposals, and menus in partnership with the Bistro Manager.
• Serve as primary contact for catering clients from first conversation through follow-up.
• Maintain records of leads, accounts, orders, and sales activity.
• Facilitate billing, invoicing, and payment follow-up with clients.
• Grow repeat business through client check-ins and relationship building.
• Partner with the kitchen to set up orders for success and manage lead times.
• Lead weekly catering sync with kitchen to review orders and pipeline.
• Capture client feedback and resolve issues professionally.
