Job summary

Maple Landing is seeking an experienced Prep Cook for our catering kitchen in Dallas. The role is a 5-day week with weekday mornings 7am-3pm and occasional weekend mornings for catering events. You will prep ingredients, operate ovens and grills, and assist with all aspects of meal production for multiple locations.

Responsibilities include handling ingredients, following chef-prepared lists, and maintaining food safety standards. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work well in a team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience as prep cook/line cook.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Physically able to stand and perform tasks for long periods.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients for the shift: wash vegetables, chop, season meat.
• Prepare oven, utensils, and grill for shift.
• Store all food properly and sanitize workstations.
• Gather ingredients from fridge/freezer as required by chef.
• Follow prep lists and measure ingredients for stocks and sauces.
• Prepare hot meals, salads, breads and dressings for catering orders.
• Ensure quality of ingredients and food safety standards.
