Job summary

The Oak View Group is seeking a Catering Manager responsible for creating unique dining experiences by supervising catered functions, coordinating with culinary and operations teams, and ensuring services meet client specifications and financial goals.

In this role you will oversee event staff, enforce alcohol service policies, manage schedules, and drive quality from setup through teardown, delivering exceptional guest experiences at on-site and off-site events.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent required.
• 3–5 years catering or concessions experience.
• Concessions Manager Certificate required.
• Nationally recognized sanitation training certification preferred.
• Familiar with inventory cost control and menu planning.
• Basic computer proficiency: e-mail, Excel, Word, Outlook, Schedule+.
• Working knowledge of POS and timekeeping systems.
• Cash handling abilities and math skills, including significant number manipulation.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the overall effective management of Catering and Concessions operations.
• Ensures total compliance with all alcohol service policies.
• Monitors alcohol service throughout the event to ensure 100% compliance with Alcohol Service policies.
• Reports any alcohol service or compliance issues to management immediately.
• Provides ongoing direction, supervision, and mentoring to hourly event staff.
• Monitor product quality and ensure a high level of guest service.
• Assists in troubleshooting POS systems from hardware to software aspects.
• Assists in vault opening, closing, and balancing, as necessary.
• Generates event employee schedules and verifies time as required.
• Assist in training and supervision of hourly employees per dept. managers.
