Job Summary

As a Catering Manager, you will manage the Catering Department of a high-volume corporate dining account in Smithfield, RI. Responsibilities include training new associates, overseeing event setups, and directing temporary staff, ensuring proper service during events, including setup, cleaning, and breakdown.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead and supervise all catering events from setup to breakdown.
2. Coordinate event logistics, staffing, quality control, and sanitation with other departments.
3. Collaborate with the Chef to develop and improve catering menus.
4. Train team members on service standards, menu knowledge, and customer engagement.
5. Monitor and control food and labor costs per event to meet financial targets.
6. Maintain strong communication with clients, team members, and leadership to exceed expectations.
7. Support all foodservice activities and perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of catering management experience.
• Background in fine dining, hotels, corporate dining, or country clubs preferred.
• Proven experience focusing on quality, presentation, and customer satisfaction.
• Strong knowledge of current food trends, safety, and cost control.
• Solid financial and budgeting skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• ServSafe Certification required.
