Job summary

Motek, a Mediterranean concept restaurant under Happy Corner Hospitality, seeks a Catering Manager in New York City. You will lead outreach for delivery catering and on-site events across multiple venues, building relationships with corporate and social clients and coordinating logistics for seamless events.

Responsibilities include responding to inquiries, managing platforms, creating proposals and BEOs, and driving quarterly sales targets with the Events & Catering Director.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of catering sales or on-site event sales experience.
• Proven success in generating new business and managing accounts across 2+ locations.
• Hands-on experience with BEOs, menu creation, and hospitality operations.

• Drive outreach to corporate offices, convention bureaus, coworking spaces and social events.

The Miami-born restaurant brand will open its flagship New York City location at 60 West 57th Street, taking over the former Rue 57 corner. Known for its lively spirit and health-conscious menu, Motek continues to expand its footprint in New York City with this exciting, new location.

Please note, this position will assist with multiple venues as we continue to expand our operations in New York. This position is in person.

Position Overview:

The Catering Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth for delivery catering and on-site events across 3+ locations. This role is outreach-focused, building and maintaining a pipeline of corporate, social and on-site event business, with hands-on coordination of delivery logistics and on-site event execution; making a proactive, relationship-driven approach essential

Responsibilities:

• Respond to all delivery catering and on-site event inquiries within 6 hours via email and phone.
• Drive outreach focused on delivery catering and on-site event business through proactive approach to corporate offices, convention bureaus, coworking spaces and social events.
• Manage Catering platforms such as EZ Cater, Venue App-Orders, Metrobi.
• Collaborate with marketing team on promotional campaigns and seasonal offerings.
• Work collaboratively with Events & Catering Director to achieve quarterly sales goals.
• Conduct site visits, tastings, and menu presentations for prospective on-site event and delivery catering clients.
• Create detailed proposals, contracts, BEOs, customized menus, delivery packing lists, and floor plans for on-site setups.
• Maintain Tripleseat system for all delivery catering and on-site event documentation and BEO generation.
• Coordinate catering logistics including delivery routes, equipment inventory, and vendor rentals.
• Oversee packing, delivery accuracy, setup, breakdown, and final quality checks for delivery catering orders and on-site events.
• Ensure strict compliance with all food safety and sanitation requirements.
• Facilitate deposits, payments, and event reconciliation.
• Conduct weekly BEO meetings with culinary and management teams.
• Prepare weekly reports including outreach efforts and sales forecasting.
• Train and support team members to problem-solve and achieve sales goals.
• Represent Happy Corner Hospitality at networking events, trade shows, and community engagements to drive business development.
• Ensure guest satisfaction through hands-on leadership and post-event follow-up.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in catering sales, delivery catering, or on-site event sales.
• Proven success in generating new business and managing accounts across 2+ locations.
• Hands-on experience with kitchen sheets, BEO's, menu creation, and a strong understanding of hospitality operations.
• Organizational and leadership skills.
• Proficient in TripleSeat, Toast, Canva and Microsoft Office; familiarity with catering aggregator/delivery platforms a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in hospitality or business administration is a plus.
• Ability to reliably commute to and from events with equipment.
• Fluency in English, bilingual is a plus.
