Panera Bread in Portage, IN is seeking a Catering Lead to plan and manage catering orders for events while delivering warm, friendly service and ensuring on-time delivery. You will respond to inquiries, coordinate with guests, and maintain the high quality Panera is known for.

The role requires a self-motivated individual with excellent communication, strong organizational skills, and the ability to navigate a fast-paced environment, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18.
• Basic food safety understanding and practice training (Food Handler’s Card).
• Enjoy people and have effective communication skills.
• Self-starter with limited supervision.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Must have own vehicle for delivering orders and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Manage and produce catering orders for guests.
• Create memorable experiences with warm, friendly service and proactive follow-ups.
• Assist with delivering orders to events.
• Adhere to health and food safety standards.
• Maintain Panera’s standards for food quality.
• Build excitement for Panera Catering to local businesses, schools, and events.
• Assist and support Managers and Team Members as needed.
• Help build a culture of warmth, belonging, growth, and trust.
