Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma with 3+ years catering, hospitality, or restaurant experience; equivalent experience considered.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to lead and motivate staff members.
• Food handlers permit or ability to obtain by passing Safety and Sanitation test.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and meet University driver eligibility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Supervise catering event operations, including event setup, service, and cleanup for university dining events.
• Provide exceptional customer service to guests while ensuring a positive and welcoming dining experience.
• Coordinate the transportation, preparation, and management of food items and supplies for catered events and special meals.
• Hire, schedule, train, and lead support staff, including student employees to ensure efficient event operations.
• Assist with menu planning, event coordination, and preparation to support successful catering services.
