Job summary

The University of Nebraska–Lincoln is seeking a motivated Catering Server to join our University Catering team in Lincoln, NE. You will supervise event operations, coordinate setup, service and cleanup, and ensure guests have a welcoming dining experience.

The role involves leading student staff, assisting with menu planning and event coordination, and delivering exceptional service at university dining events.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma plus three years catering, hospitality, or restaurant experience; equivalent experience considered.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate staff members.
  • Food handlers permit or ability to obtain by passing the Safety and Sanitation test required.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and meet University driver eligibility requirements.

Responsibilities

The University Catering team is dedicated to delivering exceptional culinary experiences and outstanding guest service at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. We are seeking a motivated Catering Server to join our team and help create memorable events through excellent service and teamwork.
As a Catering Server you will:
