Panera Bread in Washington, DC is seeking a Catering Lead to manage and produce catering orders for events, ensuring delicious Panera dishes are delivered promptly and accurately with warm, friendly service.

You’ll respond to guest inquiries, coordinate deliveries to meetings and events, and uphold health and safety standards while promoting Panera catering to local businesses and schools. You’ll also support managers and team members to keep events running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Minimum age: 18 years.
• Food safety understanding and training (Food Handler’s Card as required by law).
• Enjoy people and have effective communication skills.
• Self-starter who can meet goals with limited supervision.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Must have own vehicle for delivering orders and a valid driving record.
• Flexible hours, including nights and weekends in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull 25–50 pounds.
• Stand and walk for up to 3 hours.
• Able to clearly communicate in a loud environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage and produce catering orders for guests.
• Create memorable experiences with warm, friendly service and proactive follow-ups.
• Assist with delivering orders to guests’ events.
• Strictly adhere to health and food safety standards.
• Maintain Panera’s standards for craveable food quality.
• Market Panera Catering to local businesses, schools and events.
• Assist and support Managers and Team Members as needed.
• Help build a culture of warmth, belonging, growth, and trust.
