Join to apply for the Catering Lead role at Corner Bakery

The Catering Lead supervises total catering operations in one unit. Responsibilities include catering order taking, driver scheduling, catering production and preparation, and maintaining cleanliness and organization of the Catering Department. The Catering Lead works directly with outside customers and guests daily.

As the Catering Lead, you will oversee the preparation, presentation, and service of food, interacting closely with catering and retail employees as well as restaurant managers.

Job Tasks and Responsibilities

• Accept and modify orders over the phone using POS
• Enter online orders into POS
• Resolve guest concerns with manager approval
• Assign deliveries to catering staff
• Prepare baked goods and food items
• Assemble catering food in baskets, trays, and bowls
• Make deliveries via vehicle or foot
• Handle breakfast and lunch preparation
• Perform clean-up duties and trash disposal
• Distribute catering tips daily
• Execute catering sales initiatives such as customer callbacks, menu drops, community events, and food tastings
• Identify sales leads through territory canvassing
• Perform secondary tasks like expo duties, cashiering, dishwashing, and line cooking

Highlighted Tasks

• Maintain attractive FOH displays and condiment stations
• Check bathrooms and bus tables
• Prepare food according to specifications and requests
• Ensure accurate cash flow and transaction integrity
• Organize food for delivery to guests

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent (or in progress)
• Ability to complete CBC driver training, pass MVR checks, and maintain a valid driver’s license with insurance
• State Foodhandler card/ServSafe certification as applicable
• Minimum of 3 months guest service experience preferred (restaurant or retail)
• Proficiency in MS Office and POS systems
• Strong guest service and communication skills
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
