Job summary

Sifted is seeking a Catering Host/Server for Tuesdays through Thursdays, 10am–2pm, to manage the on-site lunch experience at client locations in Foster City, CA. You will create a branded pop-up vibe and explain the menu through signage while collecting feedback to improve service.

The role requires a vehicle or ability to drive, is on-site in a school environment, and offers $25/hour with vacation, sick leave, and paid holidays. Earned Wage Access via Branch may be available.

• Customer-focused hospitality professional with attention to detail.
• Experience shaping a pop-up or event-driven service is a plus.
• Able to describe menu items and ingredients through signage and messaging.

Responsibilities

Schedule: Tuesday - Thursday // 10am-2pm

Today, Sifted creates experiential lunch programs for high-growth, culture-centric companies. Brands who want to treat their staff to chef-made, hand-delivered lunches hire Sifted to provide a daily or weekly lunch in their office.

Sifted is hiring a customer experience-minded professional to serve lunch and manage the on-site experience at our clients’ locations.

The ideal candidate is interested in pop-up events and values all the elements that contribute to an out-of-this-world event experience.

This particular position requires a vehicle or the ability to drive.

What you\'ll be doing

• Managing the Sifted lunch experience at the client’s location and ensuring every staff member is delighted
• Creating an inspired, pop-up vibe in the client’s office using branded butcher paper and creativity
• Telling the story of the menu and featured ingredients through branded messaging on the paper
• Collecting feedback including specific metrics and report back to the Community Manager
• Suggesting ways to increase efficiency and improve the experience
• Has some food service experience, but not required
• Is detail oriented and looks for ways to have a positive impact on the customer experience
• Loves working fast-paced events and interacting with guests
• Enjoys building the Sifted brand and looks forward to representing it
• Is open to feedback and appreciates opportunities to improve personally and professionally
• Compensation : $25/hr

Eligibility

This position must maintain ServSafe Food Handler card (company-paid)

Work environment

This is a position based on-site in a school environment.
