Job summary

Quorum Hospitality, in Kauai, seeks a Catering Sales Manager to drive catering revenue and lead client-facing sales from inquiry to event execution. You’ll focus on SMERF and catering accounts, detailing proposals, site tours, tastings, and seamless coordination with culinary and events teams.

You’ll nurture relationships, forecast revenue, and upsell services while maintaining accurate client records. This role combines sales drive with hospitality excellence in a full-time, on-site setting at

Qualifications

• 2+ years of catering sales or hotel event planning experience required (sales or catering focus).
• Experience detailing meetings, events, or banquets preferred.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a 2 to 4-year college degree is a plus.
• Strong sales skills with the ability to build rapport, present confidently, and close business.
• Must be proficient with Windows operating systems and sales/meeting planning software.
• Must have a valid driver’s license for applicable state and an acceptable MVR
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple events at once.
• Delphi experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Solicit new and existing catering and SMERF group accounts to meet revenue targets.
• Prospect, schedule sales appointments, and network to generate leads.
• Respond to inquiries and prepare tailored proposals.
• Conduct site tours, tastings, and client meetings to secure business.
• Detail event requirements including menu, setup, A/V, timelines.
• Create and distribute Banquet Event Orders and coordinate internally.
• Partner with culinary, banquets, and events teams for flawless execution.
• Forecast and track catering revenue and adjust strategies.
• Upsell menu enhancements and hotel services.
• Maintain account information and client communications in the CRM.
• Attend sales meetings and provide M.O.D. coverage.
• Assist with promotions, sales blitzes, and client events.
• Other duties as assigned.
