Job summary

Rooted Hospitality Group is seeking a passionate Catering & Events Manager to lead our growing catering and events program. You will guide guests from initial inquiry through event execution, build proposals, BEOs, and contracts, and ensure seamless event experiences.

You will lead the team, collaborate with restaurant leadership and chefs, and drive revenue growth through networking and exceptional guest relationships. Evening and weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• Must have 3+ years in catering, hospitality, or event management.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills are essential.
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with sales and operations and leading teams is preferred.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

• Guide guests through the planning process from initial inquiry through event execution.
• Answer leads, build proposals, Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), contracts, and event timelines.
• Conduct venue tours and help guests create unforgettable events.
• Lead event execution and ensure every detail exceeds expectations.
• Partner with restaurant leadership, chefs, and event teams to deliver seamless experiences.
• Grow catering and events revenue through networking, referrals, and outstanding guest relationships.
• Lead, coach, and support our catering and events team.
• Manage event calendars, deposits, billing, and event logistics using TripleSeat and other systems.

Requirements

What You'll Bring

• Has 3+ years of catering, hospitality, or event management experience.
• Is a natural relationship builder with outstanding communication skills.
• Strong multitasking and organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Enjoys both sales and operations.
• Confidence making decisions and solving problems in a fast-paced environment.
• Leads with positivity, professionalism, and a genuine passion for hospitality.
• Experience with TripleSeat or similar event management software is a plus.
• Strong computer proficiency and the ability to quickly learn new technology and platforms.
• Is available to work evenings and weekends as events require.
