Job summary

Levy Restaurants in Atlanta seeks a Director of Catering to lead sales, client relations, and operations for a dynamic catering program. You will oversee the full lifecycle from proposal to event execution and final billing, ensuring exceptional guest experiences while meeting revenue and quality standards.

You will collaborate with culinary, operations, and finance teams to drive growth, adherence to budgets, and consistent execution across events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in hospitality or related field.
• 5-8 years of progressive hospitality experience with catering, sales, or operations.
• Proven track record of achieving sales and financial goals.
• Strong knowledge of catering, event planning, F&B operations, and service standards.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, P&L, labor/food cost control, pricing, and menu costing.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to build client relationships and deliver exceptional service.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and web-based catering/ scheduling/ financial systems.
• ServSafe and/or responsible alcohol certification preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights/weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead catering sales and business development to reach revenue and profitability goals.
• Build and maintain relations with clients, vendors, and internal partners.
• Oversee proposals, contracts, menu development, pricing, BEOs, and event planning.
• Direct planning and execution of all catering events, including staffing and setup.
• Develop and maintain operational standards for high-quality service.
• Partner with culinary leadership on menu development and costing.
• Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, labor costs, and profitability.
• Oversee billing, reporting, and receivables collection.
• Hire, train, coach, and develop Catering managers and staff.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, safety, and policies.
