Job summary

Creative Dining Services in Dordt University, Sioux Center, IA, is seeking a Catering Manager to lead planning and execution of catered events from initial client contact to final detail. You will coordinate with clients, culinary teams, conference services and dining leadership to deliver exceptional experiences with care and creativity.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of supervisory experience, ServSafe certification, and a background in hospitality or events.

Qualifications

• Relationship-focused hospitality professional with strong organizational skills.
• 3+ years of supervisory experience.
• ServSafe Certification.
• Experience with catering, event planning, food service, or hospitality.
• Knowledge of proper table service techniques and event presentation.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn event management software.

Responsibilities

• Create exceptional experiences by working with clients to understand their vision.
• Build relationships with current and potential clients to grow catering business.
• Coordinate catered events with production, conference services, sales and dining teams.
• Ensure food presentation is attractive and service standards are high.
• Respond to catering inquiries and dietary needs promptly.
• Maintain event records, billing and menus accurately.
