Westin Arlington is seeking an experienced Director of Catering to lead banquet and catering sales, delivering exceptional experiences aligned with Westin standards in the Arlington, VA market.

You will drive catering revenue, build strong client relationships, manage a talented team, and partner with culinary, operations, and events teams to ensure flawless execution of weddings, corporate events, and social occasions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of catering or hospitality management experience
• Proven relationships within the Arlington, VA / Northern Virginia market
• Demonstrated success in social catering (weddings, celebrations, events)
• Strong understanding of Westin brand standards and service excellence
• Proven leadership to recruit, develop, motivate, and retain teams
• Strong financial acumen with budgeting, forecasting, pricing, and revenue goals

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all banquet and catering sales operations, ensuring exceptional service and adherence to Westin brand standards
• Develop and execute strategies to drive catering revenue, profitability, and market share in Arlington, VA
• Grow and manage the social catering business, including weddings and milestone events
• Build and maintain relationships with local clients, businesses, event professionals, community partners, and vendors
• Lead, train, and develop the catering team, fostering a high-performing culture
• Collaborate with culinary, operations, sales, and events teams to ensure flawless execution
• Manage catering budgets, forecasts, pricing, and profitability
• Negotiate contracts and pricing while protecting hotel profitability
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and brand standards
• Stay current with hospitality and catering trends and propose innovative offerings
