Job summary

AbbVie is seeking an entry-level Catering Associate to support seamless food and beverage service for meetings, events, and daily catering needs. This role requires professionalism, attention to detail, and a customer-first mindset.

You will set up catering functions, break down spaces, maintain food quality, and ensure timely delivery across locations while upholding sanitation and safety standards. A driver’s license is required along with basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in customer service or hospitality preferred.
• Foodservice experience preferred.
• Basic computer literacy.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Industry Sanitation Certification (ANSI, FDA, or ServSafe) required.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds, walk up to one mile, and stand for up to 4 hours consecutively.
• Must possess and maintain valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Set up and arrange catering functions according to event orders and service standards.
• Break down and clean event spaces and return equipment and supplies to proper storage.
• Maintain high standards of food preparation, presentation, garnishing, and cleanliness.
• Deliver and pick up catering orders across designated locations.
• Replenish food and beverages promptly during events.
• Provide professional, attentive service to guests and clients.
• Ensure orders are complete, accurate, and on time.
• Communicate effectively with the catering team, kitchen staff, event contacts, and management.
• Follow all sanitation and food safety procedures. Keep catering areas, equipment, and vehicles clean and organized.
• Drive company vehicles carefully and responsibly.
