Job summary

AVI Foodsystems is actively seeking a dynamic Director of Catering at Walsh Jesuit High School in Cuyahoga Falls, OH. This full-time role follows the school schedule with holidays off and leads all catering operations on campus and off-site events.

Ideal candidates bring five+ years of management in catering, strong interpersonal and leadership skills, and the ability to train and supervise a service team. Proficiency with MS Office and catering billing is a plus.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of management experience in the catering field.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and decision-making ability.
• Ability to lead, supervise, train and coordinate the catering team.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule.
• Hands-on approach to training and development of the service team.
• Operational knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment.
• Proficient with catering billing systems and MS Office.
• Organized with good time management and multi-tasking abilities.
• Ability to work independently with strong customer service skills.
• ServSafe certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and lead internal and external catering events.
• Hire, train, and schedule catering staff.
• Develop existing staff in service techniques, menu presentation, policies, and procedures.
• Oversee ordering, receiving and billing functions.
• Follow up on all catered events and ensure successful operations.
• Oversee preparation, transportation, setup, and cleanup of events.
• Engage professionally with clients and staff at all levels.
• Monitor care and operation of delivery vehicles.
