Job summary

AVI Foodsystems is seeking a Full-time Director of Catering at Walsh Jesuit High School in Cuyahoga Falls, OH. The role leads internal and external catering events, hires and trains staff, and ensures flawless execution from setup to breakdown, aligned with school schedule and holidays.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of catering management experience, strong interpersonal skills, and a hands-on approach to develop the service team.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of management experience in the catering field.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and decision-making ability.
• Ability to lead, supervise, train and coordinate the catering team.
• Willingness and availability to work a flexible schedule.
• ServSafe Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and lead internal and external catering events.
• Hire, train, and schedule catering staff.
• Develop catering staff in service techniques, menu presentation, policies, and procedures.
• Oversee ordering, receiving and billing functions.
• Follow up on all catered events to ensure quality and timeliness.
• Ensure successful operations of catering functions including preparation, transportation, setup, and cleanup.
