Job summary

Chick-fil-A Shelby Township is seeking an experienced Catering Director to lead and grow our catering operations, overseeing sales, event execution, client relationships, staff management, and financial performance. You will ensure seamless coordination between kitchen, sales, and event teams while upholding CFA guidelines for food quality, service, and hospitality.

• 5+ years of experience in catering, hospitality, or food service leadership.
• Proven experience managing large-scale events.
• Strong financial acumen and budget management skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee all catering operations from inquiry to event execution ex. finding drivers, delivery prep etc.
• Complete confirmation calls and follow up calls
• Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise catering team members
• Ensure seamless coordination between kitchen, sales, and event teams
• Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and service as it pertains to CFA guidelines
• Create and manage Spirit/Community Care events, celebrations, restaurant outings
• Attend regular Director meetings and communicate marketing plans/activities as well as goal updates
• Develop and execute strategies to grow catering revenue
• Build and maintain strong client relationships
• Prepare proposals, and customized event packages
• Identify market opportunities and partnerships
• Promote usage of our Digital App/EZ-Cater and 3rd party delivery partners
• Implement school programs (school lunches)
• Utilize Spotlight to engage the guest through offers and event invites
• Manage events for profitability
• Monitor food and labor costs to maintain margin goals
• Create and maintain account invoicing
• Oversee event logistics and execution, including inventory control
• Resolve client concerns promptly and professionally
• Ensure an exceptional guest experience at every event
