Job summary

Starwood Hotels is seeking a detail‑oriented Catering Coordinator at 1 Hotel Hanalei Bay to support the Sales & Marketing team with day-to-day administrative duties, client communications, and proposal preparation.

You’ll load bookings and rates into the property management system, maintain profiles, and assist in selling guest rooms, catering services, and banquet facilities. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in a field related to this profession.
  • 2+ years of experience in a comparable position.
  • Strong administrative, organizational and technical skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Must be detail oriented and accurate.

Responsibilities

  • Answer telephone and respond to inquiries in a pleasant manner.
  • Respond to client/booker questions about facilities, hours, rates, and packages.
  • Serve as the point of contact for clients via phone and email.
  • Generate reports, prepare proposals, coordinate with clients & suppliers.
  • Manage schedules, travel arrangements and important documents.
  • Arrange meetings, events, and site tours with potential clients.
  • Transcribe and distribute minutes of meetings when needed.
  • Support sales team and assist colleagues as a team player.
