Job summary

The Bohlin in Newport, RI is seeking a Catering Cook to join our team for seasonal wedding and event service. You will prepare, season, and cook food for banquet events, maintaining clean and sanitary work areas.

Competitive hourly pay range $20.00 to $21.00, plus comprehensive benefits including 401k match, health plans, and employee discounts. Must have flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and some holidays.

• Breakdown banquets and plated meals, storing food and equipment properly at the end of event
• Work banquet food station as scheduled by the catering chef

About the Position

In the Catering Cook role, you will prepare, season, and cook food for banquet service.

About You

You are passionate about food. You have a strong senseof urgency, great organizational skills, and a positive attitude.

Essential Duties

• Maintain the work area and equipment, in a clean and sanitary condition
• Have thorough knowledge of menus and the preparation required, according to established standards
• Prepare food for Banquets, following specifications on Banquet Event Orders
• Breakdown banquets and plated meals, storing food and equipment properly at the end of event
• Work banquet food station as scheduled by the catering chef
