Job summary

Tatte Bakery & Cafe in Cambridge, MA is hiring a part-time Catering Client Specialist to manage off-premise catering orders, support clients with menu planning, and ensure on-time delivery and set-up according to SOPs.

You will act as a brand ambassador, delivering exceptional service, coordinating with drivers and third-party services, and helping grow our catering business with attention to presentation and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Handle callbacks and email follow-ups with existing customers after every order to exceed client expectations and grow our catering business.
• Assist clients in menu planning, coordinating food, beverage, delivery instructions, and other services.
• Lead prep and production of all catering orders including food, beverage, and packaging; ensure orders are prepared to recipe specifications and staged for on-time pick-up or delivery.
• Work with and utilize third-party services to ensure timely off-premise delivery and on-site pick-up; schedule internal delivery drivers; re-verify orders for accuracy.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

They are a positive, organized, and customer-service-oriented team member looking for an opportunity to grow with a fast-growing catering business. The Catering Client Specialist is a brand ambassador and demonstrates that in all that they do. This is a part-time position. Typically, the Catering Client Specialist will be scheduled to work from early morning to mid-afternoon.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service

• Complete callbacks and/or email follow-ups with existing customers after every order with the objective of exceeding client expectations and contributing to the continued growth of our catering business
• Assist clients in menu planning, coordinating food, beverage, delivery instructions, and other services that may be requested

Order Preparation

• Lead and actively participate in the prep and production of all catering orders and the items within those orders, including food, beverage, and packaging
• Ensure all orders are prepared accurately to recipe specifications and staged for on-time pick-up or delivery

Delivery Coordination

• Work with and utilize third-party services and systems as necessary to ensure timely off-premise delivery and onsite pick-up of food orders to/by catering clients
• Schedule all internal delivery drivers
• Re-verify that all orders are accurate prior to being dispatched for delivery or pick-up using our systems and processes
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience

• Demonstrates consistent and excellent customer service
• Ability to adhere to catering team standards
• Extensive menu knowledge
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with clients and management
• Ability to use Toast POS system
• Basic computer skills, including Word, Outlook, and Excel
• Ability to demonstrate food and equipment safety adherence
• Commitment to maintaining presentation at the highest standards
• Strong team-building skills
• Desire to grow the off-premise catering business at Tatte

Essential Functions / Working Conditions

• Ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds
• Ability to lift objects weighing up to 30 pounds for distances up to 25 feet
• Ability to work early morning through mid-afternoon shifts based on business needs
