+ We are hiring immediately for a full-time and part-time CATERING CAPTAIN position.

+ Location: American Family Insurance - 6000 American Parkway, Madison, WI 53783. Note: online applications accepted only.

Job Summary

Coordinates catering staff schedules to ensure timely delivery, service, and cleanup. Prepares and serves food under supervision. May drive a truck for deliveries.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Determine workload from orders.
2. Meet with function leaders to discuss setup and resolve last-minute issues.
3. Interact with customers and resolve complaints.
4. Understand menu items thoroughly.
5. Instruct staff on work expectations.
6. Assist with room setup.
7. Assemble and deliver food and supplies.
8. Serve food and beverages.
9. Return equipment and utensils.
10. Maintain presentation, portion control, and temperature standards, following HACCP.
11. Keep equipment and supplies clean and organized.
12. Follow recipes and standards for food prep.
13. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Valid driver's license may be required. Must obtain or possess a food handler's and/or alcohol permit where required by law.
