An established industry player is seeking a Catering Bartender to enhance the guest experience at their venue. This role involves providing exceptional food and beverage services, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining a clean and organized bar area. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in bar service, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. The bartenders are integral to the guest experience and provide food & beverage services to the guests of the property the bartender will be processing orders and serving food & beverage items to customers ensuring 100% guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
1. Maintain a professional appearance at all times
2. Provide prompt and efficient customer service
3. Maintains a supply of all bar products/supplies, including all glassware
4. Maintains the sanitation and cleanliness of the bar area(s), glassware and equipment
5. Assures that all laws applicable to beverage operations are consistently followed
6. Learn the names of regulars and personally recognize them
7. Monitor guest experience and take appropriate action to assure the best customer service
8. Prepares garnishes, mixes and pre-mixed drinks
9. Come up with daily specials and ideas to increase revenues
10. Adhering to sanitation, safety and alcohol beverage control policies including confirming legal drinking age and discontinuing service to intoxicated guests
11. Performs clean-up and closing procedures as assigned by manager
12. Perform other duties as assigned
Working Conditions:
1. Employee must be able to lift/handle up to 20 lbs. occasionally
2. Work extended hours during golf and holiday seasons
3. Work weekends and holidays
4. Physical activity for long periods of time including standing, walking, bending, and carrying
5. Operate food service equipment and clean food service areas
6. Fast paced high traffic areas with a moderate noise level
Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skill Requirements:
1. A thorough understanding and background in a bar / tavern / casual dining service
2. Must be of legal age to serve liquor according to state law
3. Possess excellent customer service skills
4. Must be dependable
5. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment
6. Working knowledge of beer, wine, and liquor and common drink recipes
7. Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills
8. Ability to operate computerized cash register system
