Job summary

South Lanarkshire Council in East Kilbride is recruiting for a Facilities Assistant (Catering). The post involves preparing meals according to recipes and maintaining hygiene across storage, preparation, cooking and service areas.

You will also be responsible for cleaning food production areas and equipment. The role is part-time (16.25 hours per week) with a fixed schedule, and the post-holder will support catering and cleaning services across multiple sites managed by the Council.

• You will be responsible for preparing meals within recipe guidelines and undertaking all hygiene work practices in relation to the storage, preparation, cooking and service of foods including the cleaning of food production areas, equipment and utensils.
