Job summary

Saltford CofE Primary School is seeking a dedicated Catering Assistant to join our friendly catering team, helping deliver high-quality meals for pupils and staff in a busy school environment.

You’ll work as part of a supportive team, upholding strong hygiene and food safety standards while supporting every child’s wellbeing and enjoyment of meals.

The role is 15 hours per week during term time with 4 inset days. A Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate is preferred or willingness to work towards it.

Qualifications

• Holds (or is willing to work towards) a Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Flexible and positive approach, able to work as part of a team.
• Understands excellent hygiene, safety and presentation.
• Reliable, well-organised with high personal standards.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of high-quality school meals for pupils and staff.
• Maintain hygiene, safety and presentation in food service areas.
• Follow instructions and work efficiently in a busy environment.
