Cincinnati Children’s is seeking a banquet service team member for the Burnet Campus, Food Services. This full-time role involves coordinating events, managing multiple priorities, and delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment.

The position requires reading BEOs, adhering to standards, and working a rotating schedule with 40 hours per week; prior banquet or service industry experience is preferred.

Competenze

  • Preferred: High school diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred: 6 months Banquet service specifically in a conference center, hotel or formal setting
  • Minimum Required: 1 year work experience in service industry, prefer in food service related area

Job Responsibilities
Organization & Time Management
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing needs.
  • Ability to read and interpret Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and daily work sheets; proactively seek clarification to ensure successful event execution.

  • Demonstrates initiative, sound judgment, professionalism, diplomacy, and tact.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Accepts responsibility for actions, follows through on commitments, and maintains high-quality work standards.

  • Identifies customer needs and responds appropriately, escalating concerns when necessary.

  • Adapts communication style to meet the needs of diverse audiences and situations.
  • Collaborates effectively across departments to ensure successful event execution and outstanding customer service.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for the majority of the shift.
  • Ability to push, pull, load, unload, and transport equipment and supplies throughout a large service area.
  • Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 60 pounds.

  • Maintains a positive attitude and demonstrates enthusiasm for serving customers and supporting team goals.
  • Able to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
  • Maintains flexibility and composure in a busy, service-oriented setting.
