Overview

Epiroc is seeking a strategic Category Manager to lead sourcing strategies for metal fabrication, welded parts, finished goods, and sub-assemblies. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure cost-effective, compliant sourcing solutions that support business growth.

Responsibilities

1. Develop and implement category strategies aligned with company goals.
2. Manage full-cycle sourcing activities: market analysis, supplier selection, negotiations, contracts.
3. Coordinate with engineering, finance, operations, and legal teams to optimize procurement processes.
4. Achieve targeted cost savings through strategic sourcing and value engineering.
5. Monitor market trends and supplier performance to inform procurement decisions.
6. Build and maintain supplier relationships emphasizing performance and innovation.
7. Lead initiatives like make-vs-buy analysis, LCC sourcing, and sustainability projects.
8. Ensure compliance and foster continuous improvement culture.
9. Negotiate contracts and manage supplier performance via KPIs.
10. Travel up to 5% for supplier and site visits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in supply chain, business, or related; engineering degree a plus.
• At least 5 years in strategic sourcing, with knowledge of metal/steel categories.
• Understanding of contract types and procurement analytics.
• Certifications like CIPS, CPSM, PMP preferred.
