Category Manager - Electronics & Electrical Components

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Category Manager – Electronics & Electrical Components to lead sourcing and procurement initiatives for Electronics and Electrical Components.

How You'll Help Us Connect the World

As a subject matter expert, you will develop and execute global category strategies, manage supplier relationships, and drive cost and performance improvements across the supply chain. This role will be responsible for managing the annual spend of approximately $30 million. This is a remote position in the United States with a preference in the Midwest.

Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and implement global sourcing strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Build cost models and analyze global markets to identify cost drivers and opportunities.
  • Lead supplier engagement to secure pricing, supply continuity, and risk mitigation.
  • Conduct market and competitor analysis to inform procurement decisions.
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) programs through supplier selection and evaluation.
  • Contribute to long-term strategic planning (2- and 5-year category roadmaps).

Operational Excellence:

  • Manage supplier performance across cost, quality, delivery, and innovation metrics.
  • Oversee end-to-end category management, including spend tracking and savings targets.
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews with key suppliers to drive continuous improvement.
  • Execute sourcing pipelines and support procurement budgeting and KPI development.

Required Qualifications for Consideration:

  • 10+ years of purchasing experience, including extensive knowledge of Electronics and Electrical Components (including PCBA’s, PCB’s, etc.)
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering or related field.
  • Track record of driving cost savings and service improvements in Electronics and Electrical Components
  • Demonstrated understanding of cost drivers that impact Electronics and Electrical Components
  • Experience in constructing value stream industry maps and utilizing advanced financial techniques.

Our salary ranges take into account a wide variety of factors, including but not limited to benchmarking by independent third-party consultants, skill sets, years of experience, training, education, geography, and other business requirements. Depending on experience, the range can be higher for candidates with exceptional experience and a demonstrated history of successful performance. The expected salary range for this position is $118,000 - $153,300.

The candidate will be rewarded with a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision plans, life and accidental death insurance, a 401(k) plan, and participation in the Company’s Incentive Plan. Candidates starting with the Company will be eligible for eleven paid holidays in a full calendar year, three weeks of paid vacation (prorated based on start date), as well as other leave options.
