Hitachi Energy Ltd. is seeking a strategic sourcing professional with extensive CAPEX construction and facility management experience to lead local category strategies and end-to-end procurement processes.

You will interface with technical teams to define scopes, negotiate with specialized suppliers, and ensure contracts, SLAs and KPIs align with business goals. The ideal candidate brings strong project management skills, 5+ years of relevant experience, and fluency in English.

Qualifications

Bachelor-level degree required in a relevant field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in large-scale CAPEX construction projects and strategic sourcing.
Strong understanding of building services, process equipment, construction, and technical contractors.

Responsibilities

Lead local category strategies for CAPEX Construction and Facility Management.
Manage end-to-end strategic sourcing processes: RFP, evaluations, negotiation and contracting.
Dialogue with technical teams to understand scopes, specifications and risks.
Negotiate with specialized suppliers (contractors, technical services, FM).
Manage contracts, terms and conditions, SLAs and KPIs.
Adapt corporate contractual framework to local business needs.
Evaluate and mitigate technical, contractual, financial and HSE risks.

How You'll Make An Impact

Lead local category strategies for CAPEX Construction and Facility Management.
Manage end-to-end strategic sourcing processes: RFP, technical and commercial evaluation, negotiation and contracting.
Dialogue with technical teams to understand scopes, specifications and risks.
Negotiate with specialized suppliers (contractors, technical services, FM).
Manage contracts, terms and conditions, SLAs and KPIs.
Adapt corporate contractual framework to the local business needs.
Evaluate and mitigate technical, contractual, financial and HSE risks.

Your Background

Basic Qualifications:

BA / BS in Supply Chain/Business Administration/Real Estate/Finance or related discipline.
+5 years of experience in large scale CAPEX Construction projects and Strategic Sourcing in a company.
Good understanding about technical categories present within all capital projects: building services and process equipment, construction, and technical contractors.
Sense of ownership, pride, and ability to see projects through to completion.
Outstanding organizational skills to manage multiple moving parts simultaneously and optimally in a matrix organization and with very little oversight and direction.
Project management and execution skills.
Strong knowledge of MS office tools including MS Project, MS Excel etc., SAP Ariba.
Good mastery of English.
10 - 20% travel required
Location preference EST time zone

Preferred Qualifications

Hitachi Energy experience strongly preferred.
Solid knowledge of Hitachi Energy’s different supply chains and logistics structures.
Multi-Lingual (English + Spanish + other foreign language nice to have, Portuguese or French very strong assets)
Superior negotiation skills in a highly challenging, intercultural multi-business environment and be able to negotiate terms and conditions as well as prices that align with business objectives.
High understanding and knowledge of Hitachi Energy internal needs and goals and Company Sustainability Goals
Could have ISM Certification.
