Job summary

BIC World is seeking a Category Analyst to support U.S. category development through data analysis, reporting, and execution tracking.

You will assist in promotional planning, pricing strategy, and new item launches, delivering accurate insights and maintaining key trackers and dashboards. This role emphasizes collaboration, data integrity, and disciplined execution in a hybrid work environment at the Norwalk, CT headquarters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in CPG analytics, category management, sales analytics, or related field.
• Experience with syndicated data platforms (NielsenIQ, Circana).
• Strong Excel (pivot tables, lookups, data modeling) and PowerPoint proficiency.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare analytical materials and data summaries for customer meetings.
• Support category development managers with ad hoc analysis requests.
• Build pre- and post-meeting performance recaps.
• Monitor promotional effectiveness and pricing analysis.
• Maintain promotional trackers and monitor planned vs. actual activity.
• Track SKU rationalization, SLOB analysis, and distribution/voids tracking.
• Monitor competitive activity and provide summaries of trends.
• Support new item launch tracking and post-launch reporting.
• Analyze syndicated data and maintain recurring dashboards for monthly insights.
