Job summary

Danone North America is seeking a Category Advisor to serve as a subject matter expert in planogram management, data analysis and category leadership for retail partners. This role collaborates with the Category Advisor Team to implement modular solutions that optimize category performance using data-driven insights.

Responsibilities include developing planograms, analyzing market and shopper data, and producing reports to guide space decisions.

Qualifications

• 4 year college degree in Business or related field (Finance, etc.)
• 1-3 years previous work experience
• Knowledge of syndicated data and space management preferred
• Expert in Excel to migrate multiple data sources into reporting tools
• Occasional travel required
• Knowledge of syndicated data required, proficient in shopper/panel data and space management

Responsibilities

• Develop planograms that demonstrate an understanding of customer’s overall category strategy and visual merchandising standards
• Analyze multiple categories simultaneously, allocating fixture space based on performance, sales potential, and incrementality
• Review planograms with customer and explain rationale for space decisions
• Ensure data integrity of all planograms and planogram assignments, including ownership and maintenance of product, performance, and image libraries
• Demonstrate knowledge of BLUE YONDER Space Planning and create planograms in a fast-paced environment
• Develop planogram reporting tools to support business decision making, including design and automation of reports
• Collect and mine market research and shopper insights; run correlation analysis to understand levers of category growth
• Perform competitive analysis by category to identify trends, opportunities and challenges
• Perform category and channel analysis for customer(s) to drive growth
• Discover and share category trends, share of wallet and leakage opportunities
• Create reports including market performance, distribution grids, new product tracking, velocity reports, pricing & promotion analysis
• Establish strong knowledge of the customer/category

Education

4 year college degree in Business or related field
