Job summary

Target is seeking a Category Content Lead within the Digital Strategy & Ops team in Minnesota. The role owns the product content strategy for a category, including copy, image direction, video, UGC and reviews, plus managing 3rd party content contracts.

You will lead PDP content, partner with Brand, Merchandising, and Creative, and drive SEO/AE by selecting the right copy format and optimizing vendor relationships in a fast-paced, hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree with focus in business, marketing, editorial/creative, or related field.
• 5-10+ years experience within Product Content, Marketing, Site Merchandising, Item or Merchandising.
• Digital, e-commerce experience highly preferred
• Proven leadership and decision-making skills

Responsibilities

• Lead PDP content strategy for an assigned pyramid, ensuring guest-first, on-brand content that drives conversion and meets quality and compliance standards.
• Partner with key internal brand stakeholders to create category-relevant Item content.
• Manage relationships with external Merch vendor partners, and 3rd party content providers to identify new content capabilities and optimize performance.
• Scale content through strong workflows, tools, and budget management.
• Features & Long-Copy: Collaborate with internal partners to identify important product attributes for use in long-copy and feature content on PDP.
