As an Associate Director, Content Optimization & Strategy, you will partner directly with enterprise CPG clients to improve content health, enhance product discoverability, and accelerate digital shelf performance. This is a hands‑on, client‑facing execution role — ideal for someone who thrives on translating analytics into activation, bridging creative and data‑driven problem solving, and driving measurable impact across large portfolios.
This position is remote, with 15–25% travel to client locations.
What You’ll Do
- Partner with brand stakeholders to evaluate and improve product content across major retailers using internal content and analytics tools
- Audit content quality, taxonomy, and digital shelf performance using content intelligence dashboards; identify opportunities to enhance discoverability, conversion, and brand consistency
- Deliver strategic presentations and recommendations at retailer, category, and sub‑category levels
- Educate client teams on content best practices across various retail platforms
- Translate insights into clear, prioritized action plans focused on high‑impact SKUs and categories
- Collaborate with internal and client‑side teams — including retail media, analytics, and operations — to ensure content optimizations connect with broader business levers
- Develop retailer‑specific playbooks and scalable content frameworks for use across multiple categories and regions
- Monitor post‑implementation results and communicate measurable impact through data‑driven storytelling
- Benchmark brand performance against competitors using analytics tools to identify whitespace and best‑in‑class execution
- Stay ahead of evolving retailer requirements to ensure ongoing compliance and digital shelf excellence
What You’ll Bring
- 6–8+ years of experience in digital shelf content, ecommerce operations, or CPG performance marketing
- Expertise in content optimization, product data management, and retailer content standards (e.g., major mass, club, and online retailers)
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to turn large datasets into clear, actionable recommendations
- Highly detail‑oriented, organized, and proactive in managing deliverables
- Collaborative mindset with strong client‑facing and problem‑solving abilities
- Passion for digital commerce, technology, and continuous improvement
Compensation
Base salary range (US): $109,000 – $150,000 per year
Actual base pay is dependent on experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
