Verisk, a leading data analytics and risk assessment company, is seeking a Risk Consultant/Analyst in Boston to support catastrophe modeling projects. You will interpret data using Touchstone, TouchstoneRe, and Synergy Studio, building strong client relationships and delivering high-quality insights.

Ideal candidates have a quantitative degree and 2+ years in catastrophe modeling or actuarial support, with strong SQL/Power BI skills and experience in a consulting environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in quantitative disciplines.
• Two+ years in catastrophe modeling or actuarial support role preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) is essential; Power BI/Power Query advantageous.
• Knowledge of SQL Server Management Studio or similar querying tools is a plus.
• Familiarity with AI tools like Claude or Microsoft Copilot is desirable.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive risk analyses to support consulting projects and internal initiatives.
• Respond promptly to client inquiries and coordinate with internal teams to resolve issues.
• Develop project timelines and deliverables directly with clients to ensure satisfaction.
• Apply project management best practices on mid-to-large-scale studies.
• Support model and product change management within Verisk’s software platforms.
• Provide feedback on product evolution based on client input and hands-on experience.
