Salary Range: $66,625.00 - $106,427.00
The salary range is for this level and may vary based on the actual level of role hired for.
This range represents a national range; the actual salary will depend on several factors including the scope and complexity of the role, skills, education, training, credentials, location, and experience of the applicant, as well as the level of role for which the successful candidate is hired. The position may be eligible for an annual bonus payment.

Position Summary
This role involves exercising independent discretion or judgment in handling all types of catastrophe property claims. It also includes assisting assigned field offices with day-to-day property claims when not on catastrophe deployment.
Duties and Responsibilities
Establishes immediate contact with policyholders regarding their loss, driving to the site of damage within the assigned territory or elsewhere if required.
Sets and manages reserves within designated authority.
Properly identifies and assesses damage, determines liability, and the total value of the claim.
Prepares estimates related to damages and obtains an agreed scope of work and repair costs with contractors and policyholders.
Documents all claim activities thoroughly and submits final reports for closure.
Decides on payments, issues checks, and negotiates claims with attorneys when necessary.
Assigns and supervises independent adjusters handling property losses, providing guidance as needed.
Attends industry training to stay current on legal and regulatory developments.
Assists field offices when not on catastrophe duty, bringing claims to conclusion.
Maintains monthly operational readiness of the Sprinter Van used by the CAT team.
The first five duties are essential to the role and must be performed to accomplish the job.

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required. At least five years of claims handling experience, including two years in property claims, required. Strong technical knowledge of structural damage repair and valuation techniques or equivalent required.
Completion of the Associate in Claims (AIC) program is preferred. Proficiency with estimating software (preferably Symbility) or equivalent is preferred. Appropriate licensing as required by state. Valid driver’s license and a good driving record are required. Must reside in the assigned territory unless approved for a change. The role involves serving on the Catastrophe Team as a first responder, including frequent short-notice travel for extended periods.
