Everest is seeking a CAT Portfolio Manager in the Global CAT & Exposure Management team to drive advanced statistical modeling for portfolio decisions. The role emphasizes catastrophe risk management, climate science insights, and cross-disciplinary data analysis to optimize risk-adjusted returns.

The position requires 5–10 years in catastrophe and exposure management, experience with Verisk Touchstone, and strong SQL/Python/C# programming skills.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of Commercial Property Catastrophe and Exposure Management experience; terrorism/cyber exposure a plus.
• Proficiency with the Verisk Touchstone catastrophe modeling software.
• Fluent SQL; able to write and optimize queries.
• Experience using Python, C#, or other languages to automate data flow and workflows.
• Excellent oral and written communication for business audiences.
• Business-focused with ability to translate data into insights.
• Strong problem solving and independent as well as team work capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of catastrophe portfolio management solutions to optimize risk and returns.
• Research and present innovative perspectives on the portfolio to identify opportunities and mitigate risk.
• Enhance data analytics capabilities, data capture, risk analysis, and automation tools.
• Work with large datasets, ensure data quality, resolve anomalies.
• Design risk metrics, visualizations, and mappings for underwriting leaders.
• Translate complex findings into clear narratives for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
